New Delhi, Aug 9 (PTI) Public sector telecom company BSNL will increase the maximum data speed by 10 times to 100 Mbps for its customers in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and offer data download limit up to 20 times more. BLNL Chairman and Managing Director PK Purwar said that despite several challenges, the project was completed within the stipulated time frame and without any cost overruns. Under the first of its kind project in India, BSNL completed the laying of optical fiber cabling under the sea as per global guidelines.
